Classic Wood Slat Panels
Classic slat panels create a closely repeated pattern of wood faces and recessed backing. They bring texture to a media wall, bedroom backdrop or office without requiring a custom geometric layout.
Design & material.
The wood tone and felt color both contribute to the finished wall. A dark backing makes the spaces between slats more distinct; lighter combinations can create a softer contrast. The classic profile has a finer rhythm than wide slats, which is useful when comparing samples at the room's normal viewing distance.
Installation details.
Panel seams, the first and last slat, cutouts and exposed ends need to be planned together. We verify the substrate and selected mounting assembly. Felt-backed decorative panels are not soundproofing, and any acoustic performance depends on the product and how it is installed.
Will these panels soundproof a room?
No. Sound absorption and sound isolation are different. We can review the selected product's acoustic information, but a decorative slat wall should not be treated as a soundproofing assembly.
